THE MINISTER OF WELLNESS APPROVED ORGANIC KELP SEAWEED

***EXCELLENT FOR IODINE, AN IMPORTANT MINERAL FOR THYROID HEALTH AND BONE HEALTH! SICKLE-CELL DISEASE & IRON-DEFICIENCY***

The Minister Of Wellness labeled and approved Kelp seaweed is harvested from Maine’s pristine waters. This seaweed is packed with the mineral IODINE that is essential for everyday life.

Nutritional Values

This kelp contains more mannitol, a natural sugar molecule that gives this kelp a slightly sweeter taste. Sugar kelp (Digitata) has been considered a health food in Asia and contains the highest amount of iodine needed for the natural development cycle. The natural flavor often enhances broths and soup stocks, and sugar kelp provides a low sodium replacement for salt on popcorn.
It contains abundant levels of iodine, so it consumes small to moderate quantities. Rich in protein, vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K, calcium, magnesium, carotene, potassium, iron, zinc, and germanium (a powerful skin healing nutrient).

Culinary Uses

Sugar Kelp (Digitata) can enhance the flavor of almost any dish. Kelps contain sodium glutamate, often referred to as ‘natural MSG.’ Use dried, fresh, roasted, pan-fried, pickled, boiled, marinated, and candied. Use in sauces, marinades, and salad dressings. Cook with other vegetables, rice, beans, and grains. Added to beans will help them become more digestible. Don’t wipe off the white residue that often appears on the surface; it’s precipitated salts and sugars and is full of flavor!
